Life insurance planning

  • Life insurance can play an important part in a client’s wealth management and helping to achieve a client’s goals.
  • There are various types of life insurance — term insurance, whole life insurance, universal life insurance, 2nd-to-die insurance, group term insurance that you can get from your employer, and more.
  • We discuss the advantages and disadvantages of these types of coverages and help clients assess what their life insurance needs are.

Long-term care insurance planning

  • The cost of health care is constantly increasing, and the cost of providing long-term health care can have a significant impact on a client’s life planning goals.
  • We do not advocate for or against applying for long-term care insurance.
  • Instead, we discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this insurance with clients. Every client has a unique life, family, and health situation and each client’s concern for long-term care insurance is specific to their situation.

Property and casualty (P&C) insurance planning

We discuss the following coverages with clients and help them assess what their P&C needs are:

We review this coverage with clients to help them assess what their disability insurance needs are given their unique life situation.

  • Annuities are complicated financial products that are sold by life insurance and other financial services companies.
  • We are fee-only and we do not sell annuities.
  • We help clients to review whether annuities should have a place in their wealth management planning, and if so, we make recommendations on which annuities to use.
  • We analyze commercial annuities to help explain their features and expense components to clients.
